The health and safety of our employees, the local community and the environment is the number one priority of F2 Chemicals Ltd. We believe that our work is never so urgent or important that we cannot take the time to do it safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
F2 Chemicals Ltd is currently a Lower Tier COMAH (Control Of Major Accident Hazards) site, we have internal management systems that include comprehensive Environment, Health and Safety and Quality (EHS&Q) policies and strive to comply with all applicable legislation.
REACH is a European Union (EU) Community Regulation (EC 1907/2006) relating to the safe use of chemicals and the identification of their hazards. REACH stands for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. This regulation first became effective on June 1, 2007 and requires EU companies to register their chemical substances before placing them on the EU market. Implementation of REACH will occur over the next decade.
F2 Chemicals is working on several fronts towards REACH registration/compliance, and we hope that with increased hazard information and improved exposure control for dangerous substances, there is significant improvements in public health and pollution prevention. The new European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) will administer REACH and coordinate the required activities.
